5 Things You Need For Your New Apartment

As graduation is approaching I can’t help but find myself shopping more for furniture than clothing. My Pintrest and Keep accounts have never been so flooded with couches, wall art, bedding, and end tables. Through these months of obsession, I have picked out my Top 5 must-haves for your new home.

1. Fur Pillows and Blankets

Lets face it, who wouldn’t want to snuggle up to a nice fur blanket or pillow? These are great to adorn the couch with, and I promise your guests will thank you. Feeling adventurous? Get a fur bean bag chair!

2. Dinnerware

While shopping for plates didn’t previously excite me, I am now enamored with all the options! I believe your dinnerware doesn’t have to be boring, but can instead brighten up your kitchen and everyday meals.

3. Coffee Table

Buying furniture can be daunting when you are shopping for your new space. It is important to think about the size of your new apartment, and how you can use certain furniture to multi-task. A perfect example is this coffee table. It is the epitome of a versatile piece of furniture! You can use it in the living room as a coffee table, but it can also be used as your desk, a place to eat, and for storage.

4. Coasters

Coasters might not be the first thing you think about when imagining your new apartment, but these have never made preventing water marks so enjoyable.

5.  Appliances

I truly believe you should have one appliance that you splurged on for your new place. For my friend, it was her espresso machine. For me, it is my Breville One-Touch Tea Maker. My friends can attest, I am literally obsessed with this machine. I think everyone should have one appliance they are infatuated with in the kitchen. If you love Paninis, get a Panini maker! If you can’t survive the mornings without a waffle, get a waffle press. The possibilities are endless!
