Trend Report from Men’s New York Fashion Week
February 6, 2016
As men’s fashion week comes to a close in New York, there were some noticeable trends on the runways of many designers. There were three major trends that potentially be the most influential in men’s fashion this season such as, the use of fur, military inspired pieces, and rusty hues.
Fur coats have taken over in outerwear for men this season specifically seen in shows like Coach 1941, Fendi, and Ralph Lauren.
Although utilitarian inspired garments may not be a new trend in menswear, after this fashion
week men are going to have to fit some of these pieces into their wardrobes. Some of the shows
that this trend was seen in were Dries Van Noten and Louis Vuitton.
One trend this fashion week that was different for men was the increased use of rusty hues, instead of the usual darker blues. Some of the shows that this trend was seen in were Gieves & Hawkes, Trussardi and Berluti.
