Marist’s Fashion Program is proud to be a part of fashion history this year. During New York Fashion Week, Model Rain Dove broke monumental barriers as an androgynous model. As this fresh face took over the runway, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Huffington Post, and Buzzfeed quickly featured her in articles. Rain has been listed as one of Cosmopolitan’s 11 women “redefining beauty.” Multi-talented, Rain says, “I model as male, female, and everything in between. I model as all genders. I model as a human being.” Rain, who began modeling after losing a bet, has been homeless, attended University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a firefighter. Throughout the past few months the Fashion Program has been able to create a professional and personal relationship with the model. Marist Fashion is extremely excited about Rain’s success, and is happy to announce that she will be featured in this year’s Marist Fashion 2015 Magazine! Make sure to keep an eye out for Rain Dove on our runway, May 8th.
